WhatsApp Is Finally Letting iPhone Users Run Multiple Accounts on One Device.

WhatsApp Is Finally Letting iPhone Users Run Multiple Accounts on One Device.

WhatsApp is now undergoing tests for a well-awaited feature: the real multi-account support on iPhones. As WA Beta Info has reported, this TestFlight beta now takes on a direct second WhatsApp account via an “Account List” section in settings — no new account via WhatsApp Business or other jerry-rigged solutions required.

Two Accounts Under One App & Seamless

Currently in beta (build 25.x), dual WhatsApp accounts within iOS can add:

  • It could be a new number;
  • This could be an account that exists already (like WhatsApp Business);
  • or your friend can create an account with a QR code linked from a different device.
  • Each account runs totally independently; hence all have different chat history, back up, notifications and privacy settings.

Switch Accounts with the Most Easy Way

Switching to other accounts is intuitive at WhatsApp:

  • The dedicated Account List could also be accessed from the Settings menu.
  • Hold the finger, or double-tap the Settings tab, to switch accounts as a shortcut.
  • With this feature, any incoming message will clearly identify which account it goes to, limiting confusion.
    Built-in Security Still Keeps
  • Of course, within those features, WhatsApp maintains tight privacy:
  • This function is localized in App Lock, so you may protect the switch by Face ID, Touch ID, or pin code.
  • That way no account’s information get mixed with each other since they have unique backup configurations.

What This Entails-And especially for iPhone Users

People with iPhones who wanted to use two WhatsApp accounts before typically had to download the business version or had some other hack.

Now everything can operate out of one app, allowing you to have personal versus work accounts on the same device and clearing out a lot of clutter on your phone.

All in all, now is putting WhatsApp on iPhone pretty much on par with Android, since multi-account support in WhatsApp has been around for quite a while.

When Can This Be Expected to Become Available to the Public?

No particular date is confirmed yet. The feature is still in beta testing via TestFlight and only limited to a number of users currently.

But its appearance in this phase is a strong sign that a full rollout could happen soon.
