My Geek Score: The recent analysis of Johns Hopkins University studies shows that the United States of America is now approaching 700K new Covid-19 cases every day.

The day is not far when “a million new coronavirus cases will be found each day” in the United States of America – Dr. Anthony Fauci, the president’s chief medical advisor.

The nation outlined 4.91 million cases by this week’s end, i.e., Saturday.

Surprisingly, the figure is higher than combined in April 2021 to July 2021.

In all manners, this means that every second, eight nationals are testing positive for long-prevailing coronavirus.

The new Omicron variant of Covid-19 is less dangerous than alpha and delta. They are still burdening the hospitals with new admissions.

As far as the reports, it is observed that the effects of the Omicron variant are not the same in each country.

In the USA, reports show 1,38,000 new cases on Saturday, 32% more than last week.

In an interview on Saturday, Fauci said that corona virus cases should be declining by month’s end.

He also added that “I couldn’t predict anything, and actually, no one could.”

But Fauci still hopes that the unroll new covid-19 cases will slow down by the end of January, and hence declining in the number of patients will be seen.

Miscellaneous reports:

In between all this, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, an American politician and activist, and the United States Representative also tests positive for covid-19.

On Sunday, she used her Twitter handle to make this announcement.

She tweeted that she is currently experiencing minor symptoms and isolated herself in the home, following the necessary precautions and medications.

Later, she added that she is 100% vaccinated with the two doses of coronavirus vaccine along with her booster dose, which she took in the Autumn.
