AMD Ryzen 5 5300G Engineering Sample Sold on Ebay and Benchmarked
Having recently appeared for sale on eBay, the first benchmarks of an engineering sample of the Ryzen 5 5300G came to light, showing some performance graphics for CPU-Z, Cinebench R15, and in Battlefields 4 and 5.
As far as is known, this processor would have four cores / 8 threads based on the Zen 3 microarchitecture, with a base frequency of 3.5 GHz. The GPU would include integrated graphics with eight compute units, still based on the Vega architecture.
The user started with CPU-Z to show single and multi-thread performance, where it performed 10.4% and 7.9% better than its predecessor, the Ryzen 5 4300G, respectively.
The engineering sample was then tested on Cinebench R15, where it performed 16.7% above the Ryzen 3 4350G and 11.6% above the Intel Core i3-10100:
To test the games, the vendor had to use unofficial drivers to use the processor’s integrated GPU. Finally, to evaluate the processor’s thermal behavior in operation, two stress tests of 50 minutes each were carried out. Using the AMD Wraith Prism cooler in an environment with a temperature close to 23ºC, the Ryzen 5 5300G did not exceed 49ºC under stress, which indicates an excellent thermal efficiency for this new generation of AMD CPUs.
For its part, AMD has not yet commented on possible new releases in the coming months, although with the recent leaks, we could get news on Cezanne soon.
